Intimate Wedding at the Edison Ford Winter Estates

Olivia and Blaze's wedding at the Edison Ford Winter Estates was a celebration of love intertwined with the rich history and natural beauty of the estate. The couple, drawn to the timeless elegance of the location, chose to exchange their vows under one of the venue's famous banyan trees.

The day started at the reception venue, The Treehouse, located in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. Conveniently just blocks away from the ceremony location. A small old Florida home renovated to service small weddings. Olivia & Blaze chose to forfeit the idea of a wedding party and instead get ready with their loved ones. Olivia enjoyed the morning with her mom, baby niece, and soon-to-be mother and sister-in-law. Meanwhile, Blaze prepped for the day with his father, Olivias’s brothers, and soon-to-be father-in-law.

The ceremony took place in the evening under the Edison Estates native banyan tree. Olivia, wearing a square neckline, sleeveless, gown walked down the aisle to the soft strains of classical music, her eyes locked with Blaze’s anticipating the marriage they get to share. 

​

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows, their words echoing through the garden as a testament to their enduring love and commitment. After sealing the deal with a kiss they danced their way back up the aisle to guests blowing bubbles and exiting behind them

Following the ceremony, guests were invited to a cocktail hour at The Treehouse, where they enjoyed signature cocktails inspired by the couple's favorite drinks. Olivia & Blaze stayed behind with me so we could capture some portraits of the now-official married couple.

BEST PART! 
Earlier that morning when the groom arrived he called me over and said “I have a surprise planned”. Blaze hands me a set of scissors and says, “When I give you the signal, hand these to me.” Slightly confused I took them from his hand, put them in my bag, and knew this was a no questions asked assignment. FAST FORWARD to when we are taking couples portraits after the ceremony. We are just about to wrap things up when Blaze discreetly asks me for the set of scissors. He turns towards Olvia, proclaims his vows once again, and cuts off his tie (for all my Office fans.) In which she proceeds to cut off her veil. The Office is a show that they both love and connect with. I love that this was so different and unique just for them. 

​

The reception was adorned with twinkling lights and lush greenery. Long wooden tables were decorated with wildflower centerpieces and candles, casting a warm glow over the celebration. As the sun set and the stars emerged overhead, Olivia and Blaze shared their first dance as husband and wife, surrounded by the love and support of their friends and family.
