Consider how you would describe yourselves as a family or as a couple. Dreamy and romantic? Bold and modern? Rustic and organic? By thoughtfully selecting your location and adding personal touches, your photos will feel intentional & true to you.
If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry. I have plenty of recommendations.
If you’re stuck, you can never go wrong with a sentimental spot. I’ve had the honor of traveling to a few family weekend homes, first date locations, and other destinations that are sentimental for my clients.
We often forget why we capture memories of ourselves. Personally, my intention for my work is to document your existence here on earth. So when looking back on your images and having memories tied to the location makes the images quite special.
There is always the option to shoot indoors! As seasons change or when the weather is not in our favor, we can opt for indoor photos.
Home sessions are great for couples and families that enjoy embracing the love, warmth, and special times that happen right at home. If you are interested in having a photo session at home, take note of where your space has the most natural light and the time of day it shines through.
Studios offer a different kind of storytelling. It doesn’t mean sacrificing the candid and documentary moments. We use lighting and backdrops to tell your story while still keeping things simple.

The next step in our planning is your outfits!
When choosing what to wear, think comfortable and confident. Layering, movement, and texture are all equally important. You want the clothing to move with you and not feel constricting.
We can also use the characteristics of the location we are shooting, such as vibe, colors, and textures, to help find complementary tones. Whether your session is with a partner or multiple family members, keep in mind you don't necessarily need to match, but your colors and patterns should complement one another.
We don’t take photos to remember how things looked. We take photos to remember how moments felt.
The laughter, the faces, the smell of the air. One day you’ll look back and remember they were never just pictures. They are proof of the life you’ve lived, the people you’ve loved, and the memories.
In my experience, photos are a way to celebrate, capture growth, a way of healing, or simply just looking to freeze time. No matter your reason, I’m excited to work with you!
